If this is true, what a bloody farce!! Completely agree Jester, in Europe and USA you can buy a paintball gun straight over the counter no details required!!! Yet we comply to the law and pay for our licences yet we are further restricted for doing the right thing, unlike the criminals who would never consider using a paintball gun that might possibly look like a real gun!...............When did the IQ's drop!!!!!

thing is its not just firearms licencing im saying they need experienced people in its alot of things take video games for example the board of classification are made up of people that have masters in arts and law maybe they should look into these things before they just make a decision or have people on the board that attualy know what they are talking about

Video games and a couple of banned markers in another state .....we have far more pressing issues to worry about than those to be honest. Like who do we elect as leaders?
![]() To be honest this doesn't really come as a surprise. The NSW laws seems more in line with the Prohibited imports. The fact the SP1 was banned before the release of the Drone I found it surprising that it was allowed in the first place. The sh!tty part is the length of time it took beaurocracy to jump into action and the actual release onto the market of the Drone. I guess the only thing to do is wait and see if we can be of any assistance when/if the ruling is challenged. I very much doubt we can actually do anything though. |

Does this mean I can't send my Drone to NSW to have repairs done by the manufacturer?? I hope not.

Seems like it was new to James from Macdev
We were a little surprised to say the least when we heard about this, we found it weird that a field would know about this issue before the manufacturer of the marker. After talking with firearms we found that none of this was true, here is the official response from firearms. Following a conversation with your office I viewed the website of Action Paint-ball and looked at the reference to SP1 and Drone guns. The following statement was posted on that site. "We have just been officially informed by N.S.W. Firearms, that the Smart Parts SP1 and MacDev Drone are now completely illegal in N.S.W. For more information please feel free to call the N.S.W. Firearms Registry on 1800 362 562." I can advise that no such official advice has been provided to Action Paint-ball or to any other person, to my knowledge. I have contacted Action Paint-ball and requested they remove the reference from their website. This appears to be a vindictive rumour. if you have any further questions contact MACDEV on (02) 9668 9099 http://www.billspaintball.com/vb3//s...867#post328867
